No, not the world of blogging, although that can be pretty strange at times. This is the inaugural post of the Caden O’Brien website and blog. I’m mostly a writer and dreamer. I love scary stuff. Next to Christmas, Halloween is my favorite holiday, although some years it’s the other way around. Inconsistency is my middle name. Just because I believe something today doesn’t mean it will mean squat a week for now. Live for the moment and screw the rest. Unless there’s something really important that you want to plan for…

I’ve been told I’ve been shamefully irreverent and disrespectful. Yeah, so? Only when deserved. I love weird humor, whether in books, film, TV, websites, and life in general. Who wouldn’t?

I love little white fluffy dogs, and have 3 Papillons to prove it. I’ll post pics one of these days. I also have a species-confused Siamese cat who thinks he’s a dog – a Papillon, to be precise. I think I’ve got some pics of him that I could post. It’s a good thing I don’t have any two-legged children, otherwise I’d be accused of being a bad mommy. God forbid!

I’m disbelieving and cynical. If I can’t feel it or touch it, it probably doesn’t exist and I don’t have time to waste on it. But like the eternally muddled Agent Mulder, I want to believe! So I’m open to being convinced. Ever since I was a baby girl, wanted one thing most in this world … oops, started channeling Heart for a minute there! What I meant to say was, when I was little I was absolutely convinced that there was magic in the world, along with a universe of magical people and creatures that are hiding just out of our sight. As I got older and more cynical, doubt crept in…but I haven’t given up completely yet.  That’s why many of my stories have some other-worldly things in them, because I can almost feel them sometimes, or just barely see them out of the corner of my eye.

I love to share the fun stuff I find with other like-minded people. So I’ll be adding categories for humor sites, favorite music, books I’m into, shows and films that hit my hot button.  There will also be lots of stuff about my own writings as I get that organized. As I said, this is a work in progress, and I’m glad you stopped by. Please feel free to add a comment and say hello!

Note: I’ve been told that my language at times is colorful, crude, blunt, gross, dirty, inappropriate, and spank-me-naughty. Too true. This site will contain some of that language and those themes so wanted to give you panty-waists out there a heads up. If you are easily offended, then bugger off.
